Music and How I'm Feeling Right Now

 So this post is a little weird (or I consider it to be), or I just feel like it's out of the norm. But at the same time it also makes sense, and I personally think it's a creative way to express what I'm feeling without actually saying it. In one of my previous posts, I mentioned that I love music. I literally listen to music all the time. Whether it be studying, cleaning, working out, or even falling asleep, I am constantly listening to music. I also mentioned that my music taste is all over the place; and it really (and I mean really) is kind of random. But hey at least I have an open mind. So I'll share what I'm currently listening to, my current playlists, favorite artists, and more. Maybe this post will lead you to new music, or you could suggest new songs to me; that would be awesome.

My Top 5 Songs

So as I'm looking at my top 5 songs on my "liked library" on Spotify, these songs are so good and I highly recommend.

  1. My Family -- from "The Addams Family": I cannot tell you how many times I've danced to this song in my house. I actually totally forgot about this song until about three days ago. It has such a good beat, totally should listen to it.
  2. it's not u it's me -- Bea Miller: I love this song. It just makes me feel so confident in a way, almost like I own the place ahahah. I also play this song a lot when I'm getting ready in the mornings.
  3. Entendemos -- Zion & Lennox: this is a Reggaetón song, and this was actually in my workout playlist. Even though I don't understand the lyrics, I like the beat of it.
  4. Solita -- PRETTYMUCH: this song will probably be one of my favorites for a very long time. Literally everything about it, I love. Blasting it in my car especially hits different. If you actually read this and take some advice, please listen to this song, you won't regret.
  5. Missing Piece -- Vance Joy: this song literally brings me joy. It's such an upbeat song and it just makes me so happy. This was like my anthem in the summer; its just so uppity and fits the summer vibe. I also heard it on Grey's Anatomy lol. 
My Current Playlists

    So, I have created 12 playlists, but really I only listen to like 3 of them. I kind of base them off my moods (because who doesn't?) and I guess I just pick depending on how I'm feeling that day. The only one that's an exception would be my workout playlist, and that one has a ton of songs. There is this one playlist I'm listening to, and it really helps me study and focus, but also its not like piano in the background or boring stuff that makes you fall asleep. It's called "Lofi Beats" on Spotify; highly recommend you give that a listen.

  I honestly don't have one favorite artist, or like a "go-to" so to say, but I do have a list of music artists that I currently listen to, and it fluctuates all of the time (emphasis on all the time). Just to provide a basis, the artists that I most listened to last year were:
  1. Surfaces
  2. Post Malone
  3. Ariana Grande
  4. Bad Bunny
  5. Harry Styles
From that list in December 2020 to right now (September 2021) I can say that has dramatically changed. The current artists that I listen to right now are: 
  1. Labrinth
  2. Sleeping At Last
  3. Mac Miller
  4. SZA
  5. Post Malone
the only artist that stayed in my top 5 was Post Malone. I think to me music says a lot about where you are in your life, both physically and mentally. Music helps me get through a lot of things, and it helps me express what I can't say. If you have any suggestions please send them my way!   1. Nice! I love to learn what others are listening to! ADORE Harry Styles (though I don't know his music, I just love his fashion choices!). I need to catch up cuz many on your lists are unfamiliar to me. Yipes!
