The Little Things I Saw Today
Today was a pretty nice day. Friday, October 1st; first day of the month and 30 more days until Halloween. I had no school today, which is always nice because it gives me time to do things that aren't school-related. I'll give a synopsis of my day:
I woke up at 7:30 this morning, went on a quick walk with my dogs, and then I got ready and went to work at 8:30. Today was a short day, so I got out at about 10:30. After work I drove to Panera to meet up with one of my friends to study. Now, did we get some studying done? We actually did! We studied for a few hours, and then I had to head home to get my sister from school. Now for my sister, every Friday I take her to Chick-fil-a as a treat for the school week. She does awesome in school, so she absolutely deserves it! So we went to the new one and Schererville, and then we came home and were surprised by my grandparents! They came to see us and we had a nice little visit. After they left I did some more homework and relaxed for a bit. Later in the evening my aunt called and we had an impromptu dinner at Giordano's with my mom, aunt, and cousins. The pizza was so good, and I am definitely full. Now, I am winding down and currently riding this blog.
Since I'm recapping my day, I figured I'd talk about the little things I noticed today and what I was grateful for today. Here's some of the things I noticed:
- The little freckles on one of this kids' nose today when I worked.
- My little pin of St. Michael the Archangel I have on my car dash
- The bright green Jeep I saw on the road today (I want one).
- I never really looked at my friends eyes, and today I noticed that they are a pretty green.
- My sister's laugh and smile.
- My sister telling me about her school day.
- My grandma's eyes.
- My mom's laugh (it always makes me happy).
- The conversations I had with my cousins were so funny.
- My dog peacefully sleeping at the foot of my bed as I write this blog.
Hey Sofia, super cool idea for a blog post I may have to try it some time. I think it's really funny that you stopped at Chick fil A and Panera cause those are easily my two favorite spots for some quick food. I'm with you that people really should take more time to notice the little things around them and that is definitely something that I should practice more. I have a lot to be grateful for and sometimes I completely forget that.
ReplyDeleteHi Sofia, I enjoyed hearing about your day, it sounded very fun and impromptu. I am also a huge fan of Chick-fil-a. I really appreciate how you slowed down and carefully examined things going on around you because when doing that, you really notice a lot more of the world around you.
