So Long...For Now
Well, it's the last week of 1st semester. Let me tell you, it had a lot of ups and downs, but I wouldn't want it any other way. Next week is finals week, AKA "hell week" and I, among many others, are also drowning is assignments and studying. All my finals are in the science classes, and man it's a lot of information. But I will miss my English class a lot because of the connections and friends I made. While English is not my most favorite subject, it always have served as a place for me to vent, put my thoughts on paper, and get lost in the creativity. I found it as a safe space to write what I think and feel without anyone's pressure or thoughts about it. This blog space has especially boosted my creativity and writing strategies because of the fact that I can write abut literally anything. The blog posts let my mind flow and go wherever it wanted, and I feel that it made writing ten times faster and better.
This was my 1st semester of sophomore year, and I've definitely learned a lot both inside and outside of school. I learned that you have to just go with the flow; don't seek for that constant academic validation because people will appreciate you for your efforts and who you are. Always be true to yourself, because you never know who will gravitate towards that. Definitely pay attention in class; I cannot tell you how many times I've spaced out and next thing you know the whole white board is filled with information. Most importantly, pace yourself. You don't owe anything to anyone, you only owe it to you. Don't do anything in your life with the intention of doing it for another person. You are the only one that can shape your life, so get out there an go do it! I can go on and on about every little thing I learned, but that would take forever. So until then, Merry Christmas, Happy New Y
